The Invasion Of Vauslein Manor

Vance was falling. He knew it wasn't a material fall. It was some kind of magic, and he saw his life flashing backwards before him. His years with N.O.R.D, his recruitment, his (quite happy, actually) childhood.. times and times again. And each time, something was left out. His enemy was erasing it, he concluded. He tried to move his arm, although it took some focus to reach back to his body, he succeeded. His senses still displayed his memories, but his body was still under his own control. From his belt, he picked an alchemical ampule, especially composed of magic-resistant components, swallowing it whole before he would forget why he wanted to do so. With his senses now showing both his past and his present, he was able to see his gruesome enemy through mists of his parent's house, the N.O.R.D headquarters and the hundreds of people he had killed during his service. He clutched his weapons in his fists tightly and ran towards the malevolent entity, stabbing it from both sides with his energy bayonets. The ampule only had a very limited duration, if this didn't work, he'd need some luck to get out of this one.

A lot of luck.

Rather effortlessly, his energy blades met with a clang, all that Vance would see in the darkness is a sharp wrist attached weapon, one facing towards the man, the second flew right for his chest and flung directly upwards, most likley leaving a scar along his eyeline from the direction it was flung towards.
The man immediatly proceeded to punch Vance pretty much "through" the building, with a force of unnaturally deadly proporition, while Vance himself might have been ressistant to the magical effects inflicted upon him, this was a magical augment inflicted upon the user, most likley a super streingth enhancer, the result would cause Vance to be rocketed out of the building and almost fatally injured if not dead, it would take a near miracle for him to survive the force of the blow let alone the impact.
With that, the man grinned a moment, picking up the fetid heart and taking it with him, leaving the crater sized hole in the wall before walking away, vanishing, into nothingness itself.

Vance gets utterly crushed and is turned into flesh-pudding, dying quickly and utterly.

The horrid yet grusume scene was slowly calming, the situation seemed to be in the favour of the holy flame advance, yet the illuminate had finished gathering the essentials for the escape, yet not without the bothersome hinderance of intruders, while their sacrifices were indeed a small part, they would delay something of great importance, thus, the NORD agents who perished would not easily be forgotten, or unrewarded, perhaps even spaired from the most horrid ways of death itself.
Barging into the room Elizah and several agents peered around to see the grusome display, this was somewhat begining to become all to familiar to her, as she sighed she simply stated "I want any survivors gathered, and remains taken with us, good men shouldnt die, even those who seem dead".
Perhaps the gods were on the side of the few who had survived, Elizah looked towards the crater in the wall and grimmanced a moment, turning away she peered around with a gun still drawn.
"Do we have enough DNA?"
"Yes ma'am, barley, but he's in a real mess, a Real, mess"
"I dont care, we cant afford to loose a single soldier, have his remains braught with us"
"Ma'am, I should warn you they might end up having amnesia like...-"
"No more questions, only acknowladgements, understood?, we dont have time for this, we need to get these remains out of here and GO!"
"R-roger that ma-am"
"Any sign of Gilligan?"
"N-no ma'am we lost him"
"Ugh!, forget it, we'll need every man here to testify what they saw in debreifing, for now, lets just get the hell out of here, order a full withdraw, were going to Gradiance".
"Y-yes Ma'am"
With that, the men picked up the decorative scrapings of Vance and the other soldiers and like the darkness that shrouded them, they were no where to be seen once they dissappeared.
This now left only two factions compeating for the territorial dominion of this area, although it appeared the holy flame soldiers were now storming the courtyard, pushing the illuminate back into the very manor itself, the manors beastly defences prepaired to make a final stand, Gilligan the man responsible for Vance and the others death was long gone, leaving the rest of the Illuminate to fend for itself and quite likley be forced into retreating.

She coudls ee where this was going for her, no where good that is... she was just about drained, she needed to get away, quickly. She sheeted her katanas and closed her eyes as a runic pattern appeared around her, it seemed as though a flow of magic came up from the pattern as it wrapped around her, she disappeared, only to reappear far into the surrounding wilderness. Her wounds, the one in her arm and at her side, they were sealed, but the magic sealing them for now was manuely controlled by her.

She sat down against the trunk of a tree, both wounds having partly opened again, she relaxed herself and kept concentrating on the wounds, it'd have to do for now...
